Emergency response cabinet

Agenda: Coordinating a Multilateral Response to the 9/11 Crisis

The Emergency Response Cabinet is a historical simulation set as President Bush's Cabinet meeting during the events that transpired on September 11, 2001. These were coordinated terrorist operations carried out by the terrorist network Al-Qaeda and resulted in almost 3000 casualties and billions of dollars in infrastructure damage. Ultimately, these events led to what is now known as the global war on terror.

Delegates will have the opportunity to deal with the 9/11 crisis firsthand and will have the power to change history. The decisions made in this cabinet will have resounding impacts, not just in the United States, but across the world. The Emergency Response Cabinet will be an exciting, chaotic and fast-paced committee, but it will also deal with a very sensitive topic - one that still holds international relevance as one of the most deadly terrorist attacks in history.

Karan Agarwal

Hey! My name is Karan Agrawal, and I have the honour to be serving as the chairperson for the Emergency Response Cabinet, 2001. I'm a twelfth grader who's currently pursuing the ISC curriculum as a science student. I aim to pursue Computer Science after school, and I'm interested in the intersection between technology, economics and politics. I'm also an avid reader, and my favourite genre of books is contemporary fiction.

As a chairperson, I will try my best to make committee sessions lively and engaging, although my job is made easier by the chaotic nature of the committee itself.

I look forward to seeing how the committee goes, as delegates will have the unique opportunity to change history and make the world drastically different than the one we live in.
