Are individual registrations allowed?No individual registrations are permitted. Only school delegations along with Faculty Advisors are allowed to register and participate.

What is the registration fee for DSMUN’24?The conference fee for the local school delegations will be 10,000 INR per delegate and an additional 20,000 INR will be charged as a school registration fee. The outstation school delegations will be charged a fee of 20,000 INR per delegate and 20,000 INR shall be charged for school registration. A detailed breakdown of the fee inclusions has been provided in the conference handbook for your reference.

What are the registration deadlines for DSMUN’24?We require a confirmation from your side on this link before the registration. Registrations will be opening on the 15th of May 2024 and closing on the 20th of July 2024 via our website.

Are there any fee waivers?There are no available provisions for fee waivers. However, in case the school has special circumstances that prevent them from paying the complete registration fee, please do not hesitate to reach out to Secretariat at info.dsmun@doonschool.com, and they will surely be delighted to assist you.

What is the Cancellation/Refund Policy?If a school delegate or delegation wishes to withdraw their registration, they will be allowed to do so. To receive a full refund, the school or the Faculty Advisor has to email info.dsmun@doonschool.com and a CC to either/both the Masters-in-Charge rdg@doonschool.com or mtg@doonschool.com, with a request for the same latest by the 31st of July 2024. We will be able to issue a complete refund only till the 31st of July 2024 with a standard deduction of 18% GST. However, from the 1st of August, only a partial refund will be initiated.

Is there an option to attend DSMUN virtually?DSMUN’24 will be held at The Doon School campus and all delegations attending the conference will do so in-person.

Does DSMUN make exceptions to the age requirements?Being a high-school MUN conference, we accept delegates from Grade 9 (Age 14/Batch of 2028) to Grade 12 (Age 18/Batch of 2025). We only accept applications of delegates who meet the age criteria.

What happens in case of a medical emergency in the middle of the conference?In case of a medical emergency, all parties must adhere to the protocols put in place by The Doon School. If the medical emergency is gauged to be contagious, the delegate will be barred from attending committee sessions and they will be provided with the required assistance from the School’s Wellness Centre. For consultation outside the School, the delegate would have to bear the costs

What are the eligibility criteria for an award at DSMUN’24?Delegates who miss more than one committee session will not be eligible to claim participation certificates. In case of a delegate breaching the Conference Policy, they can be exempted from claiming an award. Each committee will give out four awards: two Honourable Mentions, a High Commendation and a Best Delegate award.

Is internet access allowed during the conference?Delegates are not allowed to access Internet tools or perform any information searches during committee sessions. Usage of the Internet would only be allowed at the discretion of the Chairperson. The Doon School will be providing the delegates with Wi-Fi. Delegates are to use the School Wi-Fi judiciously and responsibly for conference purposes only. Delegates are allowed to use the Internet after the committee sessions.

What is the Position Paper deadline?The deadline for the submission of position papers is on the 10th of August. All requests for extensions of the position paper submission deadline must be made in writing to the respective Chairpersons with a valid justification. Deadline extensions shall only be permitted at the discretion of the Executive Board and/or the Secretariat.
